Before you sign up
Do I need to be a good skier?+
Not at all. We welcome complete beginners and lifelong experts alike. Every trip has people at your level — and lessons are easy to arrange.
How much are dues?+
Annual membership is $25 for an individual and $35 for a family. That keeps you on the trip list and in the loop all year.
How do the trips actually work?+
Volunteer trip leaders negotiate group packages — flights, slope-side lodging, and lift tickets bundled together — then handle the booking. You pay one price and show up.
Can I check it out before joining?+
Yes. Guests are welcome at most social events and meetings. We meet the first Thursday of every month — come say hi.
Do you still ski Mauna Kea?+
No. Out of respect for the mountain's cultural significance and fragile environment, the club and all travel agencies no longer organize trips to the summit.
Still curious? We love new faces.
